Project Overview
The Plummer Elementary School Cafeteria/Kitchen Renovation, Addition & Building Upgrades project modernized key learning, dining, and recreational spaces to better support students, staff, and daily school operations.
The project included design, permitting, and construction services for a new student dining addition developed in alignment with DC Public Schools Educational Specifications. The completed dining area incorporated a modern kitchen, serving area, and student seating space designed to accommodate approximately 325 students, with a layout that supports efficient food service and circulation.
Additional improvements included modernization of the multipurpose room and gymnasium, replacement of library flooring, and upgrades to the exterior paved play area. Site improvements also reconfigured parking and student-use areas to create clearer separation between vehicles and outdoor activity zones.
Together, these upgrades improved functionality, safety, and the overall student experience while delivering a more modern and welcoming school environment.
